SOCIAL EXCHANGE APPROACHES TO PROMOTING INTER-ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP COLLABORATIVE BEHAVIORS IN THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT TEAM

Inter-organizational citizenship collaborative behavior (OCCB) is critical for project team members to share information and integrate resources. However, prior studies found that high OCCBs are absent in teams. This study aims explore social exchange approaches promote members’ the construction from perspective. A questionnaire survey was undertaken online. two-stage SEM conducted verify measurement structural models. Confirmatory factor analysis model’s reliability validity, model assessed by examining fitness, path coefficients were used test hypotheses. The findings showed relational more effective than contractual OCCBs. Meanwhile, control benevolence trust verified as mediators between competence OCCB. Three pathways explored enhance OCCBs: dominated strategy (i.e., dominant trust-benevolence strategy) relational-contractual hybrid trust-contractual strategy). expands theory inter-organizational teams supports management verifying enabling mechanisms.
